Why W4VGK.com ?

W4VGK is the United States Federal Communications Commission call sign that is assigned to the owner of this web site.  Why did I request this call sign?  The W applies to a station that is located in the United States.  The 4 narrows it down to a mid-western state.  And finally, VGK stands for Vine Grove, Kentucky….my home.  Future additions to this site will include details about my ham radio shack equipment and operations….Whiskey Four Victor Golf Kilo (W4VGK).

So that you can remember this site, W4VGK also stands for something else…

W (Weather)    4 (For)    V (Vine)    G (Grove)    K (Kentucky)

Eventually you will be able to view real-time weather data on this site from a Davis Vantage Vue weather station that I have installed at my home.
